1. About us

2. Quotes and pricing

Written quotes are valid for 30 days from issue. Prices are fixed to the specification set out in the quote. Any additional work discovered on site will be discussed, agreed in writing and signed off by you before it is carried out.

3. Payment

Payment is due on completion unless a different arrangement has been agreed with you in writing before work starts. We accept bank transfer (preferred), card payments via SumUp, and cash. Late payment beyond 14 days may attract statutory interest under the Late Payment of Commercial Debts (Interest) Act 1998.

4. Workmanship guarantee

We provide a written 10-year labour guarantee on full re-roofs and flat-roof installations. Repairs, emergency call-outs, chimney repointing, leadwork, guttering, fascias, soffits and moss treatment are not covered by a written labour guarantee — because they either touch only part of a roof we haven't controlled end-to-end, or the longevity is governed by the material's own manufacturer warranty. Where a specific written guarantee applies to your job it will be set out in your quote. Guarantees are transferable to a new owner if you sell the property within the term, on written notification.

5. What guarantees do not cover

• Damage caused by storms, fallen trees, subsidence, fire or other events outside our control.
• Damage caused by third parties working on the roof after our completion date.
• Wear and tear on materials beyond the manufacturer's warranty period.
• Pre-existing defects not included in the scope of work.

6. Insurance

We hold £5m public liability insurance. Proof of cover is available on request.

7. Access, scaffold and site

You confirm that you own the property or have permission from the owner to authorise the work. You'll provide reasonable access to water and electricity for the duration of the job. Scaffolding is included in our quotes where required and remains our responsibility while on site.

8. Weather and timing

Start dates and durations quoted are our best estimate. Adverse weather may extend timelines — we will not compromise safety or workmanship to hit a date. Any material change is communicated promptly.

9. Cancellation

Consumers have the right to cancel within 14 days of accepting a quote under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, unless you have specifically requested we start work sooner. Where work has begun with your written consent, reasonable costs already incurred may be payable.

10. Complaints

Please raise any complaint directly with us at info@gsroofs.uk or 07429 175 157. We will respond within five working days and aim to resolve issues within 30 days.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England & Wales. Any dispute will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
